Privacy Policy
Last updated · June 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Mission Team Inc. collects, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Mission Team application, website, and related services.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information to provide the Service:
Account and identity data. When you create an account, our authentication provider, Clerk, collects information such as your name, email address, password credentials, and role. We receive your account identifier and basic profile details from Clerk.
Content you enter. The profile, team, trip, schedule, flight, supply, and patient or client records you and your team members submit, along with messages you send through team chat.
Payment data. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment-card and billing information directly; we do not collect or store full payment-card numbers. We receive limited details such as subscription status and the last four digits or card type needed to manage billing.
Images. Images you upload are stored and delivered through Bunny CDN.
Device, usage, and log data. Technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, pages and features accessed, and timestamps, collected automatically to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; create and manage your account and authenticate sign-in; show your teams, trips, schedules, and records and deliver messages and notifications; process subscriptions, billing, and renewals through Stripe; provide customer support and respond to your requests; monitor, secure, and troubleshoot the Service and prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use the content you enter, including patient or client information, to train advertising models or unrelated machine-learning systems.
3. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data on the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you and provide the Service; for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights; to comply with legal obligations; and, where required, with your consent. For health-related and other special-category data you enter, you — as the party that determines the purposes of that processing — are responsible for establishing the appropriate legal basis and obtaining any required consents.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as described here:
Service providers and subprocessors. We share data with vendors who process it on our behalf to operate the Service, under contractual obligations to protect it: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Bunny CDN (image storage and delivery), and MongoDB Atlas (database hosting).
Within your team. Content is visible to the members you invite to a given team or trip, according to the permissions you set.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with the law, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Mission Team.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
5. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After you close your account or delete content, we delete or de-identify the associated data within a reasonable period, except for residual copies retained in backups for a limited time and information we are required to keep to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. Retention periods for content you control are also subject to the choices you and your team make within the app.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest, scoped access controls so that data is visible only to authorized team members, and limits on internal access to personnel who need it to support the Service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for the access you grant to others.
7. Your choices & rights
You can review and update much of your account information from within the app at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent.
California (CCPA/CPRA). California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
EEA/UK (GDPR). If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may exercise the rights described above and have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
For much of the content in the Service, your team or organization controls the data, and we will refer certain requests to them. To exercise your rights or ask a question, contact us at missionteamapp@gmail.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.
8. Cookies & local storage
We and our providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service, and understand how it is used. Some of these technologies are strictly necessary for the Service to function, including those used by Clerk for authentication. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some may affect functionality.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for use by organizations and adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies). If you believe a child has provided us personal information in this manner, please contact us so we can take appropriate action. Note that you, as a customer, may record information about patients or clients of any age as part of coordinating care; you are responsible for the lawful basis and consents for doing so.
10. International data transfers
We and our service providers operate primarily on managed cloud infrastructure in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for cross-border transfers.
11. HIPAA & protected health information
Mission Team is a coordination tool, not a healthcare provider, EHR, or medical device. Our reference to being “HIPAA-aligned” describes operational practices we apply to operational trip data and is not a certification or a guarantee of HIPAA compliance. You are solely responsible for compliance with HIPAA and other laws governing protected health information, including determining the lawful basis for any health-related data you enter and obtaining all required patient and individual consents. No Business Associate Agreement applies unless we have separately executed one with you in writing. Absent such an agreement, you should not submit data that would require a BAA, and you assume responsibility for any health-related data you choose to enter.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice as appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, or wish to exercise your rights, contact Mission Team Inc. by email at missionteamapp@gmail.com. Mission Team Inc. is based in Dallas, Texas and operates remotely.
